NH Kittens has a few policies to be aware of:

NH Kittens has a STRICT POLICY that all kittens and cats adopted from our organization must remain indoors, 100% of the time, for the duration of their lives.  No exceptions.  If you do not plan on keeping kitty indoors, do not apply.

NH Kittens will not hold any kitten/cat without a deposit of 50% of the $120 adoption fee ($60).

If the kitten/cat is not retrieved within 72 hours once cleared for adoption by our vet, the deposit is forfeited. The deposit will not be applied to another kitten/cat and the applicant will have to reapply to adopt. Any exceptions are at the discretion of our Director.

NH Kittens checks home ownership/landlord information so please be truthful when applying.

Please do not apply if you have not discussed the adoption with everyone in your household.

No declawing of the kitten/cat at any time.

Kittens under 16 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs unless there is a cat or cat-friendly dog already in the home. If you adopt a pair of kittens/cats and decide to return one, you must return both adoptees unless you already have a cat or cat-friendly dog in the home.

Kitten/cat must travel in a carrier at all times. You must have a proper carrier with you at the time of adoption. Arriving with a cardboard box, a tupperware bin, an open wooden crate (all have actually happened) will result in the adoption being halted.  Please, bring a proper cat carrier with you at the time of adoption.

Adopter must be at least 21 years of age and cannot be a college student living on campus. Any exceptions are at the discretion of our Director. If you are under 21 and live with your parents, a parent must apply.  If you are under 21 and live on your own, indicate that on your application and our Director will discuss the adoption with you.

All other pets in your home must be up-to-date with rabies vaccines. All other kittens/cats in your home must be up-to-date with rabies vaccines and must be spayed/neutered prior to adopting a kitten from us. Confirmation of this information is part of our vet check. Please do not apply if you have 'plans' to spay/neuter any kitten or cat currently in your household.
